ALEX tests 300 allergens simultaneously from a single blood draw, including 218 molecular allergen components. This identifies exactly which proteins cause your reactions—predicting severity, cross-reactivity patterns, and whether you might tolerate certain forms of allergens.
Q. Can this test detect food intolerances?
ALEX tests for IgE-mediated allergies (immediate immune reactions). Food intolerances involve different mechanisms (enzymatic deficiencies, sensitivities) and aren't detected by IgE testing. We can advise on appropriate testing for your specific symptoms.
Q. How is Total IgE useful?
