What Causes Ureaplasma?
Ureaplasma Urealyticum is a highly contagious bacterium that can be transmitted through various means, including:
- Engaging in unprotected sexual activity with an infected person.
- Sharing needles.
- Sharing saliva, such as through kissing or shared utensils.
- Rarely, through airborne particles or contact with an infected person’s eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Receiving contaminated blood during transfusions.
While less common, transmission can also occur if an infected individual coughs or sneezes near you.
